    As a Brother

    1. 01Start signed out — the Public view is everything a visitor to the lodge's website can see.
    2. 02Switch to Regular Member for the forum, directory and dashboard; the Officer Tools menu stays shut.
    3. 03Open the calendar, click Aug 19, RSVP to the degree conferral and request a ride.

    As an officer

    1. 01Switch to Treasurer and post a register entry — the running balance and the account card move together.
    2. 02Record a partial dues payment; it lands in the 2026 roll-up and as a credit on the General Fund.
    3. 03Open Raffle Manager → Beneficiaries and split the net proceeds across several charities.

What's under it in the real build

Member directory with self-managed privacy, an events calendar with RSVPs, officer rosters that survive an annual turnover, and a discussion forum — plus the officer desks volunteer leadership actually runs on: a multi-account checkbook, dues management, petitions, degree casting, and raffle and golf-outing fundraisers that report to the penny.

The production version adds the parts a demo can't fake: real accounts with admin-approved registration and row-level database rules, so a general member can never read the treasurer's register even indirectly. Officer seats change hands every January, and permissions follow the office rather than the person — the outgoing treasurer loses the books the day the new one is installed. Card payments, transactional email for dues notices and degree invitations, and an audit trail behind every balance correction round it out.
